CAD INTELLIGENCE. CONNECTED QUALITY.
One planned platform to take a part from CAD and drawings to validated revisions, inspection plans and traceable quality records. Built around precision. Designed to run where your data belongs.
The full platform is in development. The local preview reads STEP geometry and displays it in 3D; the hosted workspace opens reports and checks source-file identity.
USE THE LOCAL PREVIEW
Review STEP geometry on your computer, inspect CAD face properties and carry the observations into a saved record or spreadsheet.
The local engine reads the file, records its units and shows the transferred geometry.
Select a surface in 3D or the table. See its type, CAD area and supported cylinder or cone parameters.
Save the inspection to reopen its model and face results, or export the observations as CSV.
The website opens saved PartDatum reports. Importing a STEP file requires the local Mac preview.
These ten scoped capabilities have Preview status. Broader product workflows remain Planned until their complete scope is ready.
PMI comparisons now export a standalone readable report with all attribute groups, unresolved labels and source hashes. Ten relevant tests passed; a browser download matched the report generator exactly. No semantic GD&T acceptance; R7 unchanged.
Open a tool below. Fresh STEP measurements require the local service; saved examples do not constitute new measurements.
| Tool | What is implemented | Acceptance |
|---|---|---|
| Single-session revision review | PMI source values, asymmetric tolerances, explicit limits, composite-frame links and datum-target parameters. Source-face region links and readable reports; unresolved values stay unread. Full semantic GD&T acceptance remains open. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
| Surface deviation | Two-direction sampled distances, explicit outside-region observations and labelled reduced display tessellation. Measurements use BRep; not certified Hausdorff. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
| Model health | Topology and tolerance observations with explicit inventory-only status when analysis is incomplete. Missing checks do not pass. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
| Assembly tree | XCAF structure, placements and definition observations. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
| Assembly difference | Read two STEP files or saved trees; search name paths, filter recorded placement differences, browse more entries and export the full review. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
| Selected face deviation | Select two live imported faces, measure both directions, save results and reopen them read-only without reusing old handles. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
| Source validation declarations | Declared geometry properties appear across health, deviation, assembly and assembly difference. Missing declarations do not pass; assembly validation properties remain unsupported. | Experimental · product acceptance open |
R15b accepted by external observation: NIST 18/18 in 90 s. R16 distribution preparation adds embedded-image HTML reports and delivery documentation. The guide passed external observation. Separate-user installation remains untested but does not block R17a Linux/Docker web work. Windows is deferred to v2; no VPS deployment has started.
Source companion v7 includes 35 archives and 419 verified entries. Stored Mach-O sections match for 71 bundled libraries; headers, signatures and other binary data are outside this check. Complete source/build and redistribution review remain open.
THE PLATFORM
Bring the work around a part into one project. Each capability below is part of the planned PartDatum platform.
Work with native CAD, assemblies, neutral formats, meshes and scans. Keep every repair tied to the original.
Compare geometry, assemblies and semantic PMI. Follow each revision into the inspection work it affects.
Structure dimensions, GD&T, datums and associations. Check MBD readiness and preserve engineering meaning.
Extract PDF and scanned annotations, apply balloons, review uncertain readings and track drawing revisions.
Connect characteristic lists, FAI/AS9102 and PPAP reports, measurement results, trends and nonconformities.
Model task-specific uncertainty, compare probing strategies and develop inspection plans with access and collision checks.
Bring Creo, NX, SolidWorks, CATIA and PLM workflows into the same controlled publishing and review process.
Target fully offline installation, local processing, controlled access and optional local AI assistance.
ONE CONTINUOUS WORKFLOW
The planned workflow links each requirement to its source, history, inspection method and result—so a design change can be reviewed across the work it affects.
Keep the authority model, units and source references.
Review geometry, PMI and revision differences.
Connect sampling, uncertainty and measurement results.
Carry the evidence into quality records and the next revision.
PRECISION IS THE FOUNDATION
Display meshes and rounded labels must never determine engineering acceptance.
Separate modeling tolerances, numerical error and measurement uncertainty.
Preserve original files, rule versions and review history. Incomplete evidence stays visible.

Out of scope: CNC cutting toolpaths and structural/fluid solvers. Our roadmap includes inspection probe paths and measurement uncertainty simulation. No CAE solver portfolio was reviewed here.
A competitor check means at least one reviewed product documents the capability. Separate products, options or integrations may be needed; coverage varies by format and release. — means not found in the reviewed sources, not proven absence. PartDatum checkmarks require documented scope, tests and workflow acceptance. Preview is not professional release status.
Source review: 6 September 2026. No performance, price or superiority claim is made.
This comparison covers selected CAD, quality and metrology products relevant to our roadmap, not every product sold by these companies. Capvidia includes nine product areas; Balloon2D is an MBDVidia tier. ITI is a Wipro company. CALYPSO options and PiWeb modules are grouped under ZEISS. Product families do not imply a single license. Capvidia offers implementation services. PartDatum’s plan includes guided setup, templates, help and training workflows; delivered consulting services are not claimed.
